This can include setting an alarm or timer on your phone or downloading a reminder app. A kitchen timer can work, too.Will I need to use this drug long term?For major depressive disorder (MDD), the SR and XL forms of bupropion hydrochloride ER oral tablets are meant to be long-term treatments. If either medication is safe and effective for your MDD, you’ll likely take it long term. However, your doctor will monitor your condition and medication use.If you’re using the XL form of bupropion hydrochloride ER oral tablets for seasonal affective disorder, you’ll likely start treatment shortly before the season you need it. This is typically fall or winter. Your doctor will usually have you stop taking the drug gradually after the season ends.
