Azithromycin for influenza

While your coronavirus numbers are credible, they are dwarfed by the seasonal Influenza A/B.

Coronavirus is a family of virus' first identified in the 1950's.
It's been around a while, and many may have contracted an earlier strain, hence the variety of positive tested, likely false positives.
Bottom line, it is a flu.
Many will get it, most will recover just like those with Influenza A/ B.
But let's horde as much TP as we can! Ridiculous!

The next section was delayed by a prolonged case of influenza. Draft will be complete within a week. Then it will need to wait for the editor 's review followed by website checking and uploading. About 4-5 weeks from now would be the best guess.

I enjoyed this one very much. Your characters are deep, well-developed, and likable. The physical and historical setting is rich and well described. That is what I love about good historical fiction, and it makes this story great. I was so afraid that you were going to kill off some characters in the influenza pandemic!

I am really waiting for the next installment of Quaranteam but I am happy to read more stories in the universe you have created. My only quibble is the protagonist's reverence to 'Spanish Flu' e.g. Spanish Fly to fight Spanish Flu 2 when the author is referring to the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918-'19. We now know the virus came from the good ol' US of A. But otherwise it's a great start to a story linked to one I am already following eagerly.

Sorry folks, but today was SUC-TACTIC!
I went to the General Practitioner at 9:00 am for my 6 month check up (and to check up on what had happened at the start of the year). It seems I've developed a respiratory infection so I was given some of those horse pill to fight it (Azithromycin) ... which came with THREE Level Three drug interaction warnings ... including the freaking risk of death ~ when in league with my Clozapine ... WOOT!
Next I learned my Urologist has 'misplaced' the initial files on my testosterone prescription ... which came from my Endocrinologist years and years ago. Now I have to wait for two weeks (and two blood draws) to show I have low-T so I can have the pleasure of my wife injecting me in the tush every Monday night. Until then I will be running around with less energy than I am currently struggling with ... DOUBLE-WOOT!!!
And lets not forget I am having to remove all caffeine from my diet as well so I'm already pretty much a walking zombie ... Triple woot?
Lastly, thanks to snow last week, I have my entire family in the house until FRIDAY ... which is stressing out my normally hermit-like nature. I love my kids, but at the moment my daughter is working on her cosplay outfit for Animazement which she does in my Man-Cave because it has more room to spread out in. I'm slowly losing my ever-loving MIND!!!!
Progress report: Nothing really. I haven't done any constructive work in the past two weeks and very little before then. I am trying to put out a story I started on back in 2016 and I have a chapter and a half already developed.
I have done no work on the next chapter of Ebb Tide. I know where I want to go, but am unsure how I'm going to get there.

Thanks to everyone who commented for their encouragement. This story has been a labor of love that took about 15 months to write from the first idea to completion. Originally, this was going to have a tragic ending, with Madeleine dying in the influenza epidemic, hence the line in the prologue about a flower blooming in a field of ash. But as I got into the story, I fell in love with her character and I found I couldn't kill her off. I'm not sure how historically accurate it was to have her survive, but it's my story and that's the way I wanted it to go. I tried to make this story as historically accurate as possible, and I think I succeeded there. To anon below, I really didn't specify that it was the American units that were attacked in the German March 1918 offensive, just that the attack came against the Allied lines. I probably could have made that a little clearer. I'm honestly not sure what my next project is going to be. As I said in the intro, I have a lot of stories that I've started, but can't seem to get fired up about finishing. Also, I don't seem to have as much time for this as I used to. My day job (which is really a night job) has become a great deal more involved time-wise than it used to be, I'm closer in age to 60 now than when I started doing these stories, and I don't have the energy to stay up late and work on them. But I don't think I'm going to retire just yet. However, I can say that whatever I do, it will be in a romantic vein with some deeper characters. I have no more patience for some of the stuff I did 8 or 9 years ago. Frankly, some of that stuff was crap. I leave it up on the site because I don't feel like going thru the process of taking it down. just know that I'm aware that a lot of the criticisms those stories have absorbed were deserved. In closing, thanks again for reading my stuff. Your praise (or criticism) is the only payment I get for these stories, and you should know that I appreciate you.
