Heart breaking with hope for the future. As a long time dog person, who is only alive after depression because I had dogs, this is why I'll always have dogs and it will always be more than one. Losing the only dog you have is as hard as losing a parent or a very close friend. Losing a dog when you have other dogs is really hard, but the other dogs know and grieve with you. It's better.

Good tale that has the ring of authenticity. Had to give you 4 stars for that, despite the cattiness at the end. Authors need to have thick skin, and completely ignore the naysayers.
