Actually the story is kind of interesting. Yes, there are too many characters introduced too soon and the chapters are too short, but not so bad when they are read all at once. Shadow Lakes is just another Peyton Place, people don't change much and they react to crisis and stress in pretty much the same ways.

I totally agree with the comment; too many irons in the fire; sex is good, but too much of it from so many perspectives makes it boring and tedious; not once is there any mention of contraceptives; a sure recipe for STDS.
