Not q plot that is conducive to 750 words. Rushed ending. Go to the hospital. Get her tested. X can last for a few days on her urine as detectable metabolites. Then file a police report. May be hard to pun who drugged her, but it casts suspicion on the club and makes the evil people know they are being watched. Pretty sure coukd find out what happened to the other guy's wife. Then investigate off Tracy as a procurer. If got lucky, coukd blow case open with past incidents and testimony. Letting this lie is not the right way to go unless you fear they are in a gang.

Several very apt comments. I would only add that if the Predator is essentially left with NOTHING (except debt!), he will have almost NO choice except to go to police! His story might appear to be implausible to them, but his recent financial history will make it much more believable. No one will have seen him going on a bender at local bars, for example, and a blood test will find metabolites of the fictitious drug used against him! Everything done to him is well outside his normal financial history!
This is a situation where LESS revenge is probably more. I think donating $20K worth of chickens or goats to African farmers (delivered BEFORE Pred is told!) AND told he has to move out immediately plus leave the state within a month, might keep him from trying to involve law enforcement. Include the threat of serious penile shrinkage, and the fact that the couple (and others not revealed to him) will be monitoring him closely, to thwart much likelihood of him trying to attempt recrimination.
Not a bad little story, but taking a little longer in its execution could have upped the ante!

As for everyone else ... life keeps adding on the 'happy' {sarcasm}.
My neurologist decided to prescribe a more powerful tool to manage the pain in my feet. So, he gave me a foot cream. What wasn't obvious was the non-prescribed 'side effects' of the foot cream which included ... (sigh) ...
Well, as my feet have been hurting like sons-a-bitches, I was slathering that cream on three and four times a day. It had minimal positive effect which was leagues ahead of the pain I was going through. Besides, it was foot cream. What was the worse that could happen?

So I've been staggering around in a semi-lucid state for the past several days, unable to figure out why I couldn't do much, if any, writing. It took me complaining to my wife to provide some clarity.

Meh. Darren was certainly a sh$t. And the confrontation in the hotel restaurant was good. But her instant litany of reasons was muddled. Yes she was drugged and therefore raped. Btw no one goes to jail in the UK for that? Second, yes the crappy photos that she bought into with her husband and Kelly. Smdh. She doesn't confront him? Yes she is worried about being fired. Ok blackmail sex is still rape. But then she is lonely as John is traveling a lot and always tired. Well oops, Darren set that up too bitch. And it has only been four months. Oh and yeah menopause, which btw for MOST women lowers their libido once it actually starts. Author wrote and interesting story but swept a bunch of things under the rug. They f$cked four times, really three as rhe first was outright rape. She doesn't go to husband. She is blackmailed with photos? Sorry if drugged, then get tested. Date rape drugs and even C are detectable as urine metabolites form 3 to 7 days depending on which drug. If raped, tell your husband. Doesn't matter about seeing photos supposedly of him with another woman. If you are going for a revenge f$ck why do it with a slimy rapist who you thought was a friend. Surreal. And she kept caving to it, ultimately because she doesn't want to be fired, and she is bored with her husband on the road a lot with her higher sex drive. If the latter is rhe main reason to continue, why the bleep hasn't she already have had affairs. To be fair, she probably rationalized that by getting revenge. But it w as just a mess with so many different reasons. Also why all the touching, laughing, etc at the table or when walking around the hotel? Wtf? The rapist gets the girlfriend experience? To me that undercuts a lot of her reasons for continuing. So yeah muddled and murky.

Meh. Too convoluted. Drugging, rape, blackmail sex (which is also rape), menopausal nymphomania, lot of office shenanigans, faked photos regarding MC purported cheating, etc.

Yes he threatened photos, but it was (supposedly) her husband having an affair (false), her heightened libido (usually opposite effect with menopause), getting gifts and companionship (all the holding hands, jokes, finner conversation once a month), and her compartmentalization, that made her WANT yo have sex with her rapist. I call bs. That is nonsensical.
That being said Karen does comes off as a bit of a nutjob. She tessl Darren sex with him is not very good, and well she enjoys it because she feels she had to go through with it so she might was well enjoy it, but hey with time she can train Darren to be as good as her husband. But... she tells her husband the sex was sh$t, Darren is terrible and selfish, but she is really horny and since he was a friend (hello freaking rapist is NOT you or your husband's friend!), she enjoyed his company, which bte apparently included intimacy as they schmooze around the hotel. Wtf? Maybe she is psychotic.
But the worst part, is Darren raped Karen, and nothing happened except for some revenge by the wife in making him have a junior roles in the company. Wtf? No police alerted. Wife doesn't wake up after the rape, even with the weak sauce blackmail threat, and get tested for date rape drugs (detectable as urine metabolites for up to 5 to 7 days afterwards, and if positive, she has Darren by the balls)? No rape kit. No telling her husband. Hubby trades up for a better job via his own blackmail (the letter) instead of getting justice for his wife and his marriage. Sheila isn't told, she learns from YouTube. Wtf?
Let's be brutally honest. Karen wanted to have an affair. Yes the first time when drugged and raped, she was blameless and raped. But she didn't get help. Didn't go to authorities. And it wasn't the blackmail sex threat driving her. It was that Darren has already convinced her that the MC was having an affair while traveling up north. He was too tired on Friday night to attend to her sexually. So heaven forbid, only sex two or three times a week. And she was horny due to menopause (a laughable LW trope btw). She was pissed, wanted revenge, was sick of being neglected (though engineered by Darren), and wanted to have sex with another man. The blackmail and rape is only tossed in yo give a way back to a RAAC.
Meh. 3.5 stars. Not one of the author's better stories. Didn't mind the restaurant scene, but so much of the rest of it was nonsensical or nauseating.

====> sorry but this plot was quite surreal.
First, after Bobby and Sherry reconcile his set up / faked one night slip, Bobby had the brilliant idea of his wife moving in with Dwight, who he knew set up or was part of the conspiracy to set him up, and as a policeman, Bobby would know he was drugged, and btw why didn't he get tested? Those drugs are detectable in urine as metabolites for anwhere from 3-7 days depending on the drug and the dosing. To knock out a large adult amle solidly for a few hours, that was not a small dose. So why put Sherry in harm's way of a drugging and rape by Dwight? Yes the plot has Kenny reveal to him Dwight's intentions with Sherry, but after Sherry told him about Dwight's invite and her almost doing it to make Bobby mad (dumb idea on her part), he himself should think that with Dwight's trying to wreck their marriage, anything is possible.
Second, let's say she had been drugged and raped. It was obviously strong enough that she not only lost control knowing that Dwight was making a move thar night and her Glock nearby, but ahe couldn't even remember her own name at first. There is zero chance that she doesn't recognize afterwards as a female homicide detective that she was drugged and raped. What are we going with the inane LW trope that she woukd get raped by Dwight under the influence and it woukd be so pleasurable (though she would forget most or all of it) and want repeat performances because the sex is so cosmic and she wouldn't care that she was drugged and raped? Balderdash.
Instead she or Bobby would have killed Dwight. The best Dwight could hope for would be getting beaten up severely and taken to jail. Dwight had no way to restrain her and continue raping her. She wouldn't somehow magically fall in live with him. Wtf? She would kill him or arrest him. Her dose was obviously high and she would be tested for date rape drugs and X. Despite the suspense in the story, even if she were raped, Bobby and Sherry would survive and work it out. She might need therapy. She is a tough homicide detective. Dwight would not torch their marriage by raping her. And he wouldn't win Sherry's heart by raping her. His revenge coukd only end in ruin for him. Her rape woukd have been traumatic but she and Bobby would get past Dwight's assault on their marriage on on her person.
Because they were both police, there needs to be a much more credible threat to awaken dramatic tension. Or make one of them, especially Sherry not a police detective, but then the idea to have her stay with Dwight would be laughable. Maybe have her stay with relatives, but Dwight put moves on her. As it stood, therr was no way that it doesn't end badly for Dwight.
